This week I added basic AI for the ships, made the weapons scriptable, and added a few other odds and ends.

Not as much work done this week, but I've got two new shot types, (homing and mine-laying), a minimap, and the start of a between-mission hub.

The Miner Versus the Alien Armada
Some background: I've had a retail job for the last few years, but it's not a job that I want to stay with for the rest of my career. I've known I've wanted to be a developer since I was 14 or something, but in this economy, that's not happening anytime soon, and I'm tired of waiting. So, I'm going to create a game.
The Miner Versus the Alien Armada (working title) will be a free-scrolling top-down shooter, similar to the old Epic game Firefight. It doesn't look like much now, but that's the magic of programmer art. Right now, I'm working to make sure all the math works right before changing it to 3D.
Expect a release sometime in 2011, for Windows and Linux, then Mac if if it looks to be worth it. Price is currently undetermined.
